Within Warrington Borough Council and this role as a Residential Care Worker you with report directly to the homes registered manager Andrew Halliwell and deputy homes manager.

The role

As a residential care worker you will be responsible for ensuring the children and young people we care for are safeguarded, have access to health and education and that you are working within the regulatory framework set out through our Regulatory body. You will hold key working and case file responsibility for children and young people in our care. This role is a 37 hour post that will consist of a variation of days, evening, weekend and sleep in duties following a rota set out in advance. No day is the same within a Children's residential home we have a vast range of needs in the home from educational support, health support and attending activities with our children and young people. We encourage our teams to be creative in the support methods when delivering this to our children and young people. The role of a residential care worker is highly rewarding. 

The are route for progression within Warrington Council and support around further education in line with the role or residential care worker.

In line with the person specification for this role you must be Child Focused, adaptable, resilient and compassionate. You will have a drive to develop yourself professionally to allow the best care to be provided to our Children and young people.
