About us

An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Refuse and Recycling Collection Service for the recruitment of 2 x waste collection driver/loaders based at Woolston Depot.

The role

The role of Driver Loader is to provide a comprehensive waste collection and recycling service. This will include the collection of recyclable and non-recyclable waste from properties within the borough. Driver loaders are also responsible for the supervision and direction of subordinate staff as necessary. Driver loaders will work with minimal supervision and support/deputise for the Team Leader as required. Hours of work are 06.30-16.15 Tuesday to Friday.

What's needed?

Minimum 6 months driving experience, HGV class C, valid CPC card.

Key Dates & Further Information

Interviews are expected to last 45 minutes, this a range of questions relating to the collection of wastes streams and safe working procedures in doing so, this is followed by a driving assessment in a Refuse collection vehicle.
