We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Social Workers to join Sensory, Physical and Neurological Team within Warrington Borough Council.

We provide our staff with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through training and professional development with Court of Protection, S42 Adult Safeguarding Enquiries, Continuing Health Care, and Mental Capacity Assessments & Best Interest Decisions. You will work within the legislation of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act to deliver personalised assessments, support planning and reviews to achieve holistic outcomes.

We are looking for people with a can-do attitude and in return, as a valued member you will be fully supported with your caseload.

 

The role

The team is made up of a Senior Practitioner, Social workers, Social Work Apprentice and Community care workers led by a Team Manager. They co-work with adults, families, NHS colleagues, Mental Health services, independent provider services, the Third Sector and other colleagues within Adult Social Care, such as Preparation for adulthood, to maintain and improve people’s lives and wellbeing.?

Through having good conversations, the Team will discuss what is important for that individual and will always encourage adults to be as independent as possible using a strengths-based approach. We will utilise community led support and discussing flexible support options that will work for the individual such as a direct payment.

Our duty function supports those without an allocated social worker with general enquiries and advice. The team complete adult conversations using a strengths based approach to assessment and support planning. The team include workers who have additional qualifications including Practice Educator and Best Interest Assessor. We seek to include an AMHP within the team and can support future training opportunities.

The role of the team manager and senior practitioner is to support the team through regular supervision, support, and guidance. The team manager ensures the team is supported through regular team meetings, offering regular training opportunities to support CPD.

We will be holding an Open Event on Tuesday 3rd September between 2-5pm where perspective experienced social workers will have an opportunity to meet the team including our Service Manager, Team Manager, Senior Practitioner and Social workers.
