The Warrington Safeguarding Adults Board (WSAB) was established in response to the requirements of the Care Act 2014 and brought together key organisations and partners from across Warrington to safeguard and promote the well-being and independence of adults living in Warrington. The purpose of this role is to build on and enhance the current strong partnership arrangements and:

  • provide independent leadership and strategic vision to the safeguarding adults agenda across Warrington.
  • to chair Warrington Safeguarding Adults Board.
  • to ensure the Board has an independent objective and authoritative identity.

Role

The role of Independent Chair requires an outstanding individual with experience, enthusiasm, commitment, and determination to drive forward the adult safeguarding agenda. This is a great opportunity to be part of the safeguarding arrangements in Warrington.

Commitment

Hours: A commitment of approximately 29 days per financial year

Contract: Two years (subject to annual review) + 1 x 12 month optional extension
