About us

An internal secondment opportunity is available for existing staff within the Communities and Wellbeing Service for a fixed term period of 18 months.

The service supports the development and delivery of a wide range of activity from all the WBC managed Community Centres and delivers a comprehensive, evidence based offer of wellbeing interventions across the borough from advice and information sessions, wellbeing drop-in's, structured group support, brief interventions and longer term support for specific groups to support both people and communities to be the best they can be.  

The post will be managed by the Partnerships and Programmes Manager. 

The role

The programme development worker -digital inclusion, will be a key part of the Communities and Wellbeing Service and will support the delivery of all projects within the digital inclusion workstream including digitally updating community venues, sourcing and providing digital training and managing the advertising of community centre and wellbeing related activity to improve peoples access to the wide range of support and activities available to them. The post holder will also liaise with ETE providers to ensure a full programme of ETE related activity that supports adult learners across venues that compliments the digital agenda.

The post holder will work closely with a wide network of partner agencies including WVR college, private ETE providers and WVA (Warrington Voluntary Action) and internally with a number of council teams including ICT and Communications.

What's needed?

Level 3 Award in Adult Education and Training and experience of practically delivering Adult Education training sessions.

Knowledge of community event planning and how to support the delivery of events 

Level 3 (e.g. A or AS level) qualification or equivalent, ideally in a relevant field such as Business Administration 

Confident in use of ICT, primarily Microsoft Office 

Relevant Health and Safety or Event Management qualification. (D)

Knowledge of good practice & GDPR principals for record keeping (D)
