The primary aim of the Assisted Living Team is to enable adults and children to reach their optimum level of independence, maintain safety, maximise quality of life and promote dignity. We undertake assessments for all ages and work with people who have a wide range of disabilities e.g. neurological, genetic, learning disabilities and long-term conditions.

The role

We are looking for a values led, dynamic, outcomes driven and compassionate individual to join the service at a time of significant opportunity. Working as a member of the Assisted Living Team you will be working alongside three Senior Occupational Therapists providing clinical support and supervision for the occupational therapy service that includes highly skilled and experienced OT’s, Assistant Practitioners and Community Care Workers. The successful candidate will have clinical and management oversight for the children’s referrals that come into service and respond appropriately. You will directly line manage the children’s occupational therapists and hold a children’s case load. 

What's needed?

You must have a recognised Therapy qualification at degree or diploma level and current registered with the HCPC.

You must have previous supervisory and leadership experience and experience of supervising within health and social care, preferably within Therapy services. In addition, experience of managing complex cases and ability to support others to do so. 

You must have experience of completing assessments with children for equipment and adaptations. 

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sound knowledge of the relevant health, social care and housing legislation. You must have excellent information technology skills, able to update and manage your case records.

You must demonstrate organisation and planning skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
