If you are planning to carry out research relating to social care and health issues that collects data or information from, or about, individuals (including service users, their relatives and friends, or employees), you are required to follow standards and procedures outlined in the Research Governance Framework (RGF).
The framework, established by the Health Research Authority, is designed to assure the quality of research protects the rights, dignity and safety of both staff and service users involved.
If you think this applies to your project, please contact the Business Intelligence Service who will be able to offer advice and guidance.
