The closing date to apply for your child to start secondary school in September 2025 has now passed.

All applications submitted on or before the closing date of 31 October 2024 will be dealt with at the same time.

Any applications received after the 31 October 2024 will be classed as late and will only be processed after those which were received on time, unless the child has changed address or has recently been taken into care. For more information please refer to the booklet ‘Secondary Education – Information for Parents 2025-26’

Please be aware that only Warrington residents should complete our application form.

A copy of the application can be downloaded application form from this page. Alternatively, you can contact the Admissions Team on 01925 446226 to request a form to be emailed or posted to your home address.

Supplementary forms

If any of your preferences are for a faith school, you must complete the schools own supplementary form as well as our online application form. The supplementary forms give the schools more details to help them decide the correct oversubscription criteria for your child.

Completed forms should be sent directly to the school.

Verifying Information

If you wish your child’s application to be considered under the Child in Care criterion or in accordance with the medical/social criterion, then verifying information in support of your application must be provided at the time you apply. The information should be scanned and emailed to the School Admissions Team at schooladmissions@warrington.gov.uk or you can send it by post.

If your child was formerly in care, you must provide details of the Local Authority in which the child was previously in the care of and a copy of the Adoption Certificate, Child Arrangement Order or Special Guardianship Order.

If you would like your application to be considered against a medical/social criterion, you should provide supporting evidence from a registered professional, such as a Medical Practitioner, Psychologist or Social Worker, which sets out the particular reasons why the school in question is the most suitable school for your child.

Offer information

If you have expressed a preference to be informed via email the email will be sent to the email address provided by you at the time of application. Emails will be sent out from 10.00am on 3 March 2025.

If you have expressed a preference to be informed via letter, letters will be posted to the home address of the applicant on 3 March 2025.

Please be aware that late applicants are unable to express a preference to be informed via email, a letter will be posted second class to the home address on 3 March 2025.
