UPSVLP 2066
The plan is unsound because 1.) it continues to want to perform further new build on excessive amounts of green belt land south of the Manchester ship canal which is unecessary and 2.) This is based upon over estimation of the number of new build houses required in future for Warrington 3.) some of the development is on green belt land only ringed fenced 7 years ago, 4.) There is no clear planning as regards transport in and out of Warrington particularly to the south
I do not support the plan but recognise as a second attempt it is improved but, still contains far too much green belt NEW construction south of the ship canal - especially, given the amount of land already released for new construction in Appleton - and Grappenhall.
Green belt ringed fenced 7 years ago should be protected. Thelwall Heyes in particular is a rather clumsy stakeholder led 'land grab' for green belt which is farm land and should remain so . Furthermore access to Warrington Town centre remains reliant upon use of three Victorian swing bridges- the council seemingly cannot even persuade the owners to give them a coat of paint ! ( Thelwall Heyes should be dropped from the plan immediately) The amount of new build in Grappenhall is already excessive and has little basis. ( other than greed for rateable properties in an attractive area
