UPSVLP 2190
The plan is immensely detrimental to the character, life and distinctive nature of South Warrington in view of the massive housing plan (urban extensions), larger logistics sites adding to the already significant road congestions in the region. Most of this is at the expense of the green belt at a time when the focus is on protecting the environment and - dare I say - the planet (as we are contemplating the deliberations of COP26)
In addition, the plan seems very little in terms of the opportunity to develop the Town Centre
Specifically, my objection is on the following points:
Green Belt: The massive housing will lead to massive loss of the Green Belt which should be protected. The resulting environmental and ecological is just prohibitive
Housing - insufficient low-cost housing, potential owners will incur the burden and cost of commuting too far to work. Furthermore, the plan is quite unrealistic (huge number of houses, lack of clarity on roads, travel to the town centre, etc
Unrealistic Forecasts and Growth. Whilst it is good to be ambition, it is equally important (if not more) to be grounded in reality and within the resources available)
No detailed assessment on the infrastructure such as roads, bridges,
Significant adverse impact on congestion and air quality
I am sorry but I believe it requires a serious rethink and rewrite
