Why you consider the Draft Local Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound or fails to comply with the duty to co-operate

The plan does little to address the infrastructure need of South Warrington. Congestion moving from the south to the north of Warrington is heavy at peak times; a short journey can take over an hour. Those in the South (Appleton, Stockton Heath etc...) need to go to the other side of town for key facilities (swimming, gymnastics etc...) at peak times as the facilities in the South are poor. The plan doesnt address these facilities nor the infrastructure. If more houses are required, which in light of more recent projections they are not, then they should be built nearer to these facilities. The old roads that surround South Warrington, with the Bridgewater and Manchester Ship canals included, cannot take the existing volume of traffic. The plan does not go in to enough detail of how new roads would improve travelling around the area. The pinch points around the canals would still remain and the bottlenecks would still continue.

I also believe that greenbelts are set to be further protected and that these local proposals go against central governments plan to not build on greenbelt.
