1) VAGUE PLAN. Your plan is vague. There is not enough detail.
2) TOO BIG A SCALE I support new houses being built but not on such a massive scale. You plan to use most of the green belt land.
3) ROAD INFASTRUCTURE No thought to altering the road infastructure. The roads are already overloaded. The Cobbs estate roads are blocked at peak times and London Road and Lumbrook Road have standstill traffic already. Thousands of extra cars will cause chaos.
4) BRIDGES The bridges are old. If one was out of use the traffic in other areas would be horrendous. The only mention of bridges is a vague sustainable bridge !
5) LUMB BROOK road bridge in particular. If a vehicle hit this bridge it could be catastrophic. The canal may have to be drained to assess it or mend it and it may have to be closed for months / years. No consideration has been made.
6) DOCTOR + DENTIST PRACTICES. They are already struggling to cope. Why do the plans not state that more of these will be provided and must be provided at the same time the houses are being built.
7) SCHOOLS No land has been earmarked for the new schools mentioned.
8) MORE RECREATIONAL SPACE Current Residents use the Millennium Green, The Dingle, various bits of woodland to walk and exercise. You have provided no new areas for the thousands of new Residents so the current areas will become overloaded.
A properly thought out plan with detail rather than vague suggestions.
Less houses.
More accessible recreational open spaces designated.
A doctors and dentist practice with enough capacity for the new Residents. It must be be built with the next phase of new builds.
A plan for a modern new bridge across the canal in the nearby vicinity.
Thought given to whether any roads could be widened.
Detail about exactly where the new schools are to be built and when.
