No further developments on any Green Belt green fields should be considered in or around Burtonwood Village, especially from Earlestown/Newton-Le-Willows. It is already a rat run with the increased vehicle numbers from these neighbouring developments, affecting tremendous increased traffic, pollution and air quality. Volunteers are continually trying to keep the village clean from litter thrown daily out of vehicles. The proposed use of brownfield site Fiddlers Ferry and the neighbouring 31.22 hectare site in St Helens is significantly away from our village and should protect the village on that side, hopefully preventing exacerbation of further traffic through the village and certainly away from Collins Green through to Omega through ancient lanes to access this employment area.
